Conviction Over Capital

At On Point Strategy, we believe that even the most complex situations can be navigated with clarity, accountability, and heart. When Hurricane María devastated Puerto Rico in 2017, On Point Strategy became the first local firm to partner directly with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Government of Puerto Rico.

We led critical grants management efforts during one of the island’s most vulnerable moments. That was a turning point for Puerto Rico and On Point Strategy; it solidified our role as a trusted partner in emergency response, federal compliance, and organizational readiness.

The Evolution Of
On Point Strategy

We wouldn’t be here if the foundation wasn’t built on solid footing. Let’s look back at how it all began…

2016

Carmen Amelia “Mely” Torres-Rodriguez, a “Boricua” from the small town of Morovis in north central Puerto Rico, founded On Point Strategy on December 28, 2016. As the company’s visionary, Mely believed that building a business was more than just making a profit. It was also about creating value for clients, strengthening communities and building up others.

2017

On Point Strategy ventured into the public sector by signing its first government contract with the Puerto Rico Office of Management and Budget. This development fueled the company's growth as the first six curators were officially onboarded. The biggest turning point came in September 2017, when Hurricane María hit Puerto Rico and On Point Strategy quickly expanded to almost twelve members.
